PAL Updates for International Students

One of the biggest updates is regarding the Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL).

Undergraduate Students

Algoma University has received additional PAL allocations, allowing more international students to apply for undergraduate programs.

Master’s Students

Students admitted into eligible Master’s and PhD programs at public Canadian universities are exempt from requiring a PAL and can proceed using their Letter of Acceptance (LOA), according to the university’s 2026 guidance.
